They sure did keep my $94 though.
This office got lucky.
My special needs son has been going here for years and we love them. The whole staff is very warm, friendly and highly accommodating.
I called Dr. Palmers' office. Told the woman on the phone what happened during the weekend, and what the other dentist had said, and the fact that I lost my freaking tooth because of it. She quickly rushed me off the phone saying, "we do the best we can."
I went in for a consult for an infected tooth. I'm terrified of needles so it seemed like the best option for me. Everything in this place looks outdated, there are lint balls in corners, someones lunch was on a counter...just kinda unsettling. When I sat in the chair, I sat off to the side with my feet on the floor, so I know the dirt at the bottom of the chair wasn't from me. As the doc took medical information from me it seemed like he was asking the same questions over and over again. He took no x-rays. Pretty much just opened my mouth looked in for a second, and then said, "We will go by what your other dentists said and do the root canal." Checking out took forever. Most other doctors and dentists I have been to say, "We will call your other doc and ask them for the x-rays" Nope, this place wanted me to do it. They scheduled me for another appointment 3 and a half weeks later....the tooth was clearly infected (bump on my jaw and I was in pain so yeah no rush or anything). The next day, Saturday, I woke up. Swelling spread to my neck and ear. The entire left side of my face. I was in pain. Had to wait all weekend to go see another dentist. When I saw the new one he had said, "You should have gotten that fixed on Friday, we could have saved it with a root canal, but now we're going to have to just take it out because it has gotten so bad."
I have been going here for years after needing a root canal. Have had no problems with the office or staff. Easy in easy out. The rest of my family also uses this office with no complaints .
I called a lawyer, they said it was a case of neglect, but since it didn't happen over a 6 month period it was unlikely anyone would take the case.
Obviously not. I was in a huge amount of pain, and now I have to pay for a freaking implant and deal with more pain in the future.
I don't understand what happened. I was told how great the office was ran when Jamie was the resceptionist and didnt hear about any time wasted on appointments where they forgot to do something and would need to reschedule things, when arriving for your appt on time. I take tying your scrub pants In front of patient highly offensive, too. Tried giving the benefit of the doubt but were onto a series of appointments where something goes wrong within the office or preparation info isn't relayed to patients. This office sees the disabled and it breaks my heart to think that someone else's time can be taken advantage of.
DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE.
